As a side note, the screen takes a much shorter time to become completely gray when I turn it off. This must be because the capacitors are of higher quality that the originals, so they discharge faster.
It does require quite some soldering skills to replace the capacitors, but it's well worth the effort to fix your beloved retro equipment.
