They look great. I wasn't totally sure which color scheme I ultimately wanted to go with, so I ordered a few different colors to look at up close in person (they're cheap enough so it's not a big waste).
I love the look and thickness, but I have to say it's a bit of a bummer that the open area isn't large enough to match up with IPS displays sold here, and I don't *see* another product here that would address the issue. I'd really love a slightly wider opening glass lens for these, because as it stands I have to turn the Gameboy different directions to be able to see the last few pixels on each side, that's a pretty big bummer here since so many people buying something like this are upgrading to a nicer display (or have already done so).
If you've got a regular sized original display, these are a great no-brainer. If you've upgraded to one of the newer type displays that's even slightly larger, you really should hold off for another, less disappointing product than this one.
I'm glad I tried this Game Boy screen mod. It's like playing the games for the first time. I made a video showing the installation and before and after. https://youtu.be/TABnMK7joRw
Glass looks and feels great. The fit was perfect and with the protective layers I didn't find myself as worried about dust and fingerprints. Only complaint really is that the gold text on the black glass is more holographic and shiny than I was expecting based on the example pic on the product page. Still looks great so I suppose it's more a notice to others than a real complaint. In future projects I'll likely try going with the clear text option and try adding color myself :)
Title says it all, and it's easy to install.
This screen looks more solid than the original - plus the tempered bright glass makes playing more enjoyable.
