So while I haven't installed it yet, I have taken a good look at it, held it, compared it to an original, etc. Seems like the build quality is really good. The shell doesn't have any sort of RF coating on the inside (typically metallic paint) vs. the original, but I don't think that's as important nowadays. I suppose you could always grab some metallic paint and spray the inside if you really wanted to. As for the color selections, I like them, though I wish there were more variations on shading. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot, but I'd like to see a darker blue (like Navy blue), dark gray, dark green, maybe even "metallic" colors (yeah I know they'd be fingerprint magnets, but they'd look so cool!!!)
Długo czekałem aż ktoś w końcu wyprodukuje ciekawe obudowy zamienne do game gear. Polecam gorąco.
Wasn’t expecting a painted shell
Would have been nice if the whole inside was painted
Like the battery section
Otherwise looks good
I make design, machine, and run injection molds in my day job. This mold had some time and love put into it. Good fit between the parts. Color is even and no flow lines. I was not expecting something that rivals the quality of the original GG case.
I came across an old but functioning Game Gear and a Gameboy that were in dire need of a shell swap. I am a small business owner myself and realize that some of your working days are made up of customer follow up and this company stayed in communication with me even if I didnt respond. I am hard at work just like they are and have to find time when it allows. The product fit PERFECTLY!!! The follow up to make sure the client was happy is a testament to this company's work ethic. Product is great but customer service is priceless.
Thank you very much.
I bought the purple shell for my Majesco Game Gear and I love it. Unfortunately I screwed up while trying to put in an LCD Backlight so the unit itself isn't currently functional, hence why I haven't actually installed the screws to secure it in place. I also bought the matching purple glass screen protector and it looks great. My only complaint is that there isn't a threaded bushing in the accessory hole like there is in the original SEGA shells, like my blue Sports edition one has. I had to screw my battery pack in about 5 times before it was threaded enough to actually stay flush to the back. I get that the ABS isn't exactly identical to the original shells but it's not THAT hard to pre thread the hole. I kept my original buttons,so I can't comment on the ones you sell.
