I took a risk to see if this worked with the "Game Boy Advance Rechargeable Battery Pack - USB-C" from retromodding and it is slight off center but the usb-c still plugs in and charges without putting stress on the charging port. Hope this helps people since retromodding doesnt sell usb-c or any battery covers pre-trimmed for battery mods.
The cover fits good. The only thing I didn’t like about it is that it’s a matte finish and my shell is a smooth gloss but it still looks and fits great.
I was surprised, when I received my Pearl Red cover, that it didn't match the Pearl Red shell I had installed. The cover is slightly darker, and definitely stands out. I assumed that, since they had the same color name, they would match.
Fit my new shell perfect!
My biggest fear of adding a rechargeable source to my mods has always been the exterior case modification, one slip and the whole thing needs replacing. When I saw this and saw it had a matching prestige case, I ordered with out delay. Be sure to check the Cleanjuice page as they have a coupon ( at the time of this review).
Love the Pearl texture, feels kind of like some phone cases do. Pearl Black shell and USB-C ready battery cover match and fit perfectly, giving a sleek, modern feel and appearance. USB-C port of CleanJuice V1.1 also lines up perfectly with this cover's access hole. I highly recommend this upgrade.
