About
The fit, feel, and tolerance of the RetroSix ABS shell is better than the original. The buttons are stronger with newer ABS and more accurate molds than the original, the buttons and triggers are ultra-responsive, the plastic is much stronger and free of any detects like those you get on injection-molded shells.

Our shells are drop-in so IPS screens can simply dropped in with no cased modification whatsoever! Simply place your IPS screen in central (use our IPS bracket for perfect alignment). Additionally, the battery compartment allows for a drop-in fit of the CleanJuice XL without any cutting required. If you plan to purchase a CleanJuice we recommend the Battery version of this shell, so you have the USB C hole in the battery cover, although it will still fit in this shell if you prefer not to have a hole.

Once you compare our shell with all the others on the market you will never look back!
History

Following on from our super successful GBA shell, we spent another 8 months developing the perfect GB shell. Spending over $10,000 on new molds even now we have the process more efficient since our GBA endeavor.

Cleaning

Pearl-series shells: We have tested multiple cleaning agents on the shells with success, and have heard that some individuals cleaning using a microfiber cloth along with a solvent may have the dye in the microfiber cloth come off on the shell. This has been observed only with solvents used with colored microfiber cloths.

Not worth it

I bought the shell together with a IPS LCD V4 in order to avoid trimming anything.
First thing, ISP is bigger than the screen hole, so you need to trim it.
Then the power led is misaligned with the shell and screen lens holes.
What annoyed me the most is that the A and B buttons are bigger than the shell holes, this means, when you press them, they don't come back to it's original position.

PEARLESCENT AND MATTE ARE NOT THE SAME!

First off lets get this out of the way, THESE ARE WHITE SHELLS THAT HAVE BEEN PAINTED. Second, the paint finishes such as (matte, gloss, pearlescent, etc.) vary from color to color. I bought one pearl blue and one pearl red and the difference is night and day when it comes to the finish, they shouldnt even be listed as the same product. At first I was a little shocked that they were even painted since it was not mentioned in the product description. This could be a problem down the line since a painted shell could easily chip off and leave an undesired white mark beneath it so scratches will be more noticeable than with a solid colored plastic shell. The pearl blue looks close to the picture almost like a metallic blue but the red is where they really messed up it should be called "matte red" not "pearl red" since there is nothing pearlescent about it, I reached out to customer care and no efforts were made to correct the situation Chris just told me that yes this is infact how they are supposed to look and that matte and pearl are categorized as the same in their products, which is even more surprising cuz.. i mean just look at the picture, how can you call these both "pearl" blue/red when they are two completelydifferent things? I have nothing against a matte finish i might even prefer it at times but how is anyone supposed to know thats what they are getting when its listed as "pearl red"
