WARNINGS:

  • Test before installation! When you receive a backlight/LCD kit, you should perform a dry run before installing to assure that nothing has been damaged in transit. A dry run or test fit means the kit is not installed in the shell. This includes the use of adhesives, brackets, and any performed soldering. All ribbon cables should have no bends or creases in them. If you are unsure how to perform a dry run, please contact our support team and we will be happy to help. Backlight kits that have been installed are not eligible for replacement or return.
  • See our dry test guide linked here
  • LCD may break if put under too much pressure or dropped. Please exercise extreme caution when installing.
  • *Soldering the BAT wire is required for operation of this kit. Soldering this wire only will not void the return policy.

    A no brainer upgrade!

A fun build to upgrade your GBC that is laying around that can also breathe new life into the hardware with its hd output.

As a warning, even if you are buying an IPS ready shell you will need to do a little bit of carving for the micro HD port. This build also has two solder joints that could be scary to first timers. The cables provided also are freakishly long for their function so I would advise trimming them at least by a 1/3'rd if not more (but always measure first) if not using new wire altogether.

Super clear video on hdmi !

A bit of a learning curve for soldering but not to bad. Novice soldering skills required imo. Audio sounds great ! Will get another in the future for sure.
