Great battery, easy project.

I installed it yesterday and that evening it was still providing power to the system but no longer indicating if it is charging or not.

I was nervous about GBC lipo mods because of reviews on similar products mentioning heating and potential fire hazards so I bought this one and babysat it closely for a few days without issue. Overcharge protection works (changes from blue while charging to green when finished). This assumes correct installation, following the instructions (do not charge while the unit is on or drawing any kind of current from mods not tied to the off switch) and shell clearance for the lipo but I have had no issue and am happy with the steady voltage (Higher than average amperage draw GBC with sound amp, light up button flex board, IPS Q5 non laminated, and also tested with flash cart draw). I particularly like the use of the existing port rather than having a hole in the shell. I now feel comfortable installing this in friend’s units and will do so soon. Not the easiest install for beginner soldering but doable if you watch some tutorials (never forget the flux, and clean it all up when you’re done!).
